In the framework of Smoqua, the first regional festival of queer and feminist culture in Rijeka, organized by LORI in collaboration with different associations, cultural institutions and prominent people from local and regional queer and feminist culture, From the Citizens to Their City will be hosting three events.
Join us on September 16, 2017, at 7 PM, in café “Piramida”, at a presentation of a “modest proposal” that is organized by platform From Citizens to Their City.
From March 20 to March 28, Križanićeva 6a will be hosting public presentations, a panel discussion, film projections and two workshops, as part of the second public program presented by Rijeka’s platform From the Citizens to Their City. The program titled Thinking Community has stemmed from the idea of a new platform, called From the Citizens to Their City, whose objective is to encourage communication and interaction in a wider community, which will be carried out by offering community art programs, creating new projects and giving support to the existing initiatives in Rijeka and the region.
The pilot program titled From the Citizens to their City, which is going to take place from October 26 to October 30, consists of artworks, art interventions and different events. The program opens with the performance of House Table by Tomislav Brajnović in collaboration with Rozarija Rodin Čače, the neighbor from Križanićeva Street, and a discussion on the co-authored art intervention by Una Rebić and Nikoleta Marković – House Work, on Wednesday, October 26, at 19:00, at Kamov Studio in the passage of Križanićeva Street.
